تقرير بحثي موجز يهدف لتأكيد موقع الصخرة في قلب المسجد الأقصى، وارتباطها بمعجزة الإسراء بالنبي الخاتم محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى المسجد الأقصى وعروجه منه إلى السماء، وبتعرف الصحابة على المسجد الأقصى بعد فتح القدس.

وتبرز أهمية الكتاب خاصة في الرد على محاولات تقليل أهمية قبة الصخرة في ظل الاعتداءات الصهيونية و”الإسرائيلية” المتصاعدة على المسجد الأقصى المبارك ومحاولات تقسيمه أو اقتطاع أجزاء منه لإيجاد حق يهودي فيه.

The booklet is a press report that aims at emphasizing the location of the Rock at the center of Al-Aqsa Mosque, its relation to the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, to Al-Aqsa Mosque and therefrom to the heavens (known as Israa and Mi’raj), and its role in getting Prophet’s Companions (Sahaba) to distinguish Al-Aqsa Mosque following their opening of Jerusalem. The research helps recognize the importance of the dome Muslims built over this rock to commemorate Mi’raj (thus it was known as Dome of the Rock), and follows the roots of a misconception of the Dome as separate from the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This focus relates to efforts made to correct misconceptions about this dear Mosque and to confirm that it includes every building or yard surrounded by its walls in the southeastern part of the walled old city of Jerusalem. This emphasis is crucial especially given the current Israeli and Zionist escalation of attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to divide it or cut off some of its parts in order to force a Jewish identity on it.
